HOW NEAR
ARMAGEDDON - By Elana Janson

Question: If we are at the end time, how do the words of Daniel 12:11-12 relate to How Near Armageddon's time measurement?

Answer:

Since the publication of my book, developments with regard to the city of Jerusalem have revealed some startling correlations with the time measurement of "the end of the days"
    ( Daniel 12:13).

The verses that you mention are:

Daniel 12:11-12 (New International Version)
"From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1335 days."

The words of Jesus Christ
It must be remembered that Jesus Christ brought the "the abomination of desolation spoken of through Daniel", into relation with the very end time.

Matthew 24:15 (also Mark 13:14 and Luke 16:15) "So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation spoken of through the prophet Daniel"

"the abomination that causes desolation standing where it does not belong" Mark 13:14.

"for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of the lord" - Luke 16:15 ( King James Version)

From the knowledge that we now have through "How Near Armageddon", that the time 2000 to 2004 is very near the time of the Second Coming, we can correlate recent events in the rule of the State of Israel with the prophecy of Daniel.

The ark of the covenant
In order to understand how Revelation reveals the meaning of the final time measurements at the end of the book Daniel we have to consider verses that specifically link with the "ark of the covenant".

The two verses in Revelation are Rev 7:1 and Rev 11:19

Revelation 11:19 "Then God's temple in heaven was opened and
within the temple was seen the ark of his covenant"

We have to look in Revelation, Chapter 7 (that deals with the return of the Twelve Tribes of Israel to the present State of Israel in the time 1860 to 2004) to see if there are any words that link to the appearance of the ark of the covenant. The time 1860 to 2004 is 144 years and is also written as "one hundred, and forty and four".

Rev 7:1 "After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds"

We must take a close look at the measurements of the ark of the covenant as stipulated in Exodus 37:1-9

In Ex 37:3 ( King James Version) we are told that for the ark, Bezeleel cast "four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it", also "two rings on the one side of it and two rings on the other side of it".

"Four corners"

I believe that it is through the words "four corners" that we can discover the meaning of " within the temple was seen the ark of the covenant"

"Four", according to time measurement in How Near Armageddon, is the time 2000 to 2004. ( It is also the "four" included in "one hundred and forty and four")

Through the repetition of the number "four" ( in both Revelation 7:1 and Ex 37:3) it is in the time 2000 to 2004 that we should see a verification of the Old Covenant made by God to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, concerning the very end time.

Temple

We know that the measurement of "temple" in Revelation measures the time from the birth of Christ until the time 2000.

In the year 2000 we know that Christ was born in the time 5 to 4 BC. Therefore the time 1996 was two thousand years after the birth of Christ. (Revelation makes allowance for the shifting of the calendar and inaccurate historical manuscripts by also measuring "three and a half days" in each millennium.)

Seven years at the end time

We know from "How Near Armageddon" that the last "short season" is about the time 1996 to 2004. In the light of the words of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, we cannot ignore the following correlation with the recent history of the State of Israel and the time of 'seven years' as indicated by the book Daniel.

Knowledge of how Revelation measures time provides the clue to finding the correlation

We know from Revelation

- that time measurement correlates with happenings in history in order to reveal the fulfilment of prophecy.

- that time in relation to the end 'time' is measured back. Therefore the time measurement in Daniel 12:11-12 the "1335 days" is placed before "1290 days".

- that numbers can be understood if they are broken up into "tens", "hundreds" and "thousands". Therefore the times indicated in Daniel could reveal meaning if they are 1000, 300, 30 and 5 days (1335 days) and 1000, 200, and 90 days (1290 days).

If these times are measured back we have the following sequence:

5- 30 - 300 - 1000 - 90 - 200 - 1000 days

This sequence of time measurement seems to relate to cardinal events and decision-making in the ruling of the State of Israel from the second half of the year 1995 to June 2000.

Significant events of the recent history of the State of Israel

5 October, 1995

- The Knesset approved 'Oslo 2' agreement by a small majority.

5 October 1995 to 4 November 1995 ( 30 days - including the day, 5 October 1995)
- Demonstrations against the agreement occur and the assassination of Prime Minister, Rabin

4 November 1995 to 30 August 1996 (300 days)

- In that time Netanyahu became Prime Minister and moved to revive the peace process. He shook hands with Palestinian leader Arafat at Erez Checkpoint ( 4 Sept 1996), but his Cabinet was not in agreement.

30 August 1996 to 27 May 1999 (1000 days)

- In this time the peace process continued, but in December 1998 the Knesset moved to reject Netanyahu's peacemaking policy and it was decided to hold early elections. Ehud Barak was elected on 17 May 1999. Barak began to secure a majority coalition in the Knesset.

27 May 1999 to 25 August 1999 (90 days)

- In this time Barak secured a majority in the Knesset and an agreement was ratified by 54 votes to 23 early in September 1999, which paved the way for troop withdrawal from the West Bank.

25 August 1999 to 12 March 2000 (200 days)

In this time the peace process continued and the Knesset approved a withdrawal of Israeli troops from South Lebanon in March 2000.

12 March 2000 to 8 December 2002 (1000 days)

At the end of May, Israel made a hasty withdrawal from Southern Lebanon.

-----------------------

To-day (23 June 2000) it was reported on CNN.com that Ehud Barak has indicated that the Jordan River would have to be Israel's security boundary. Therefore it was speculation that Israeli negotiators in the peace process could grant sovereignty of the Jordan Valley to the Palestinians.

It is astounding that in the year 2000 the words of Revelation "was seen the ark of the covenant" reveals a time that the Children of Israel are possibly about to "cross over the Jordan" again.

Josua 3:3 "When you see the ark of the of the Lord your God, and the priests and the Levites bearing it, then you shall remove from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure…….

According to How Near Armageddon's time measurement a "cubit" is one year.

It seems that it was predestined, even at the time of the crossing of the Jordan River to the Promised Land in the time of Joshua, that when it would be realised that the measurement of "temple" in Revelation, refers to the two thousand years after the birth of Jesus Christ, the "Twelve Tribes of Israel" that had returned to the Promised Land in the twentieth century would once again, 'see' the 'ark of the covenant' at the time of a possible crossing the River Jordan in the year 2000.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, at the end of June 2000, is finally revealing to the "Twelve Tribes of Israel" that he is the "Root of David and the "Lion of the tribe of Judah".
