Are we in the “little season”?
It is essential to have the book Revelation open to see where references appear. I say this because, I believe, my time measures and understanding of the book Revelation, at this point in time, incorporates almost the entire book (scroll).
The connection of Revelation’s symbolism to time.
I have shown in my books and on this Forum how I believe the book Revelation reveals its great message through the connection of its words and symbolism to time and happenings in the past two thousand years (since the coming of the Christ) and in the recent past. I am now going to illustrate this, once again, through the repetition of the words “bottomless pit”. The reason for this being that the start of the magma build-up at Svartsengi in Iceland, seems, not only, to coincide with the time of the sounding of Fifth Trumpet, but the continuation of the build-up of magma, followed by eruptions, may connect to present happenings.
Bottomless pit
The words “bottomless pit” appears seven times in Revelation. I am going to begin with Revelation 20:1-3 where the words appear twice. Now that we have possibly reached the time of the ‘gathering’ of the nations, one can regard the book Revelation in its entirety, and therefore even begin at Chapter 20.
1 “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
According to my understanding (through the repetition of the words “a thousand years”) these three verses cover the two thousand years since the coming of the Christ. Verse 20:3 concludes: “till the thousand years should be fulfilled”. Then, after that, there is a “little season” that the powers of evil are “loosed”.
1996
As I have shown on this Forum, it seems that Revelation incorporates within its meaning the measure of two thousand years from 4BC to 1996, but also according to our adjusted calendar from AD1 to 2000.
Rev.6:10-11 reveals that the “little season” is just before the Lord will avenge the deaths of the martyrs.
Rev.6:10-11
10 “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”
Extreme power of evil
It seems that Revelation is saying in Rev 20:1-3, that at no time since the coming of the Christ is the power of evil as severe as in the “little season”. To add to this, the time measures of Revelation are possibly now revealing that we are at present exactly at that time. It therefore, can be that it is for this reason that crime is globally rife and prisons overcrowded. Revelation also expresses the time very strongly in Revelation 6:8, the time of the rider on the pale horse. The “pale horse” rider, (as I have shown in my books and on this Forum) already rides from the year 1947.
Rev.6:8 “And I looked and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of earth, to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
The sounding of the Fifth Trumpet
To substantiate this claim (that we may already be in the “little season”) I must now refer back to sounding of the Fifth Trumpet in Revelation 9:1-2 and 11. In these three verses the words “bottomless pit” is used three times.
Rev.9:1-2
1 “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.”
11”And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon (Destroyer), but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon (Destroyer).”
Five months
I have shown on this Forum that I place the end of the sounding of the Fifth Trumpet (Also when the ‘first woe’ is passed (Rev.9:12)) on 27 February 2020. This was also the last day of the “forty and two months” (Rev.11:2) measured from the Venus-Jupiter conjunction on 27 August 2016. The “five months” of Rev.9:5 and 10, are therefore from 27 September 2019 to 27 February 2020.
Harmful forces
The forces of evil active during the above mentioned “five months” are described as “locusts” (“And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth” Rev.9:5). The symbolism used to describe the “locusts” seem to reflect war and harm to persons: “And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle” (Rev.9:7) “And they had tails like unto scorpions” (Rev.9:10).
Plague and war
Today we know that those ‘five months’ were the time of the beginning of the global plague and two years later, in February 2022 war started in Eastern Europe.
“And I saw a star fall from heaven unto earth” (Rev. 9:1)
Confirmation of the time
It happened that a meteor fell in Slovenia on 28 February 2020. It was seen in Croatia, Austria, Hungary and Italy.
Repetition of the words ”key to the bottomless pit”
I believe it is of significance that the words “key to the bottomless pit” are used in both Rev.9:1 and 20:1. It seems as if Revelation is indicating that the sounding of the Fifth Trumpet is also the time of the beginning of the “little season”.
“There arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace” (Rev.9:1)
December 2019 (in the time of the “five months”) Svartsengi volcanic system forms
Because the Elvörp-Sversengi volcanic system in Iceland actually started forming in December 2019, but did not erupt till 18 December 2023, I connected the symbolism of Revelation to time and placed the “smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace” of Rev.9:2 as having started at the time of the “five months” (Rev.9:5 and 10).
They had a king over them
Furthermore, where Revelation 9:11 says “And they had a king over them”, “The Destroyer”, it seems to substantiate that the sounding of the Fifth Trumpet is also the time of the beginning of the “little season” that the powers of evil are at their fiercest and actually have the authority (king) to rule the nations detrimentally.
Two more positions of “bottomless pit”
The following two positions of the words “bottomless pit” in Revelation can reflect present happenings.
Continuation of eruptions
Because of the continuation of the eruptions at Svartsengi on the Reykjanes Peninsula, in Iceland (nine eruptions since 18 December 2023), and what I have said concerning the beginning of the “little season” (the symbol of the “smoke” in Rev.9:1), particular notice must be taken of the repetition of the words “bottomless pit” in Revelation 11:7.
Revelation 11:7
7 “And when they have finished their testimony (the “two witnesses”), the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them”
Who are the “two witnesses”?
Rev. 11:3-4
3 “And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophecy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”
(Readers of this Forum will know that I measured the “1260 days” from the star formation of 23 September 2017 until 6 March 2021.)
Revelation reveals the “two witnesses” (Rev.11:3), through the word “two”, and the words of Jesus Christ (Rev.5:5).
Mark 6:7 “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits.”
Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts”
According to my understanding, therefore, the two witnesses in Revelation are symbolically those Christians that with the power of the Holy Spirit set out to spread the Christian faith to the ends of the earth.
Bottomless pit
Rev 11:7 “And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit, shall make war against them, and overcome them, and kill them.”
Readers will now wonder, but have we reached this point in time? One has to once again consider Revelation 11:8.
Rev.11:8 “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”
The ‘great city’, I believe to be the present entire global village. Since war started in Eastern Europe in 2022 and war in the Middle East in 2023, we have seen dead bodies lying in the streets of cities. Has free living reached the point that the earth is “Sodom”? Has the time come to take away the Faithful (“Egypt”)?
Geological science.
Because of our present knowledge of the formation of the earth and analytic science we can know the history of the Reykjanes Peninsula’s fissure volcanism. Ancient lava flows, now frozen in place reveal that eruptions have afflicted the region for many years at a time, but between these episodes, volcanic activity was absent for centuries. Knowledge that there was an eruption that ended in 1240, is of significance in relation to my understanding of Revelation 17:8, where the words “bottomless pit” appears a seventh time.
Rev. 17:8 “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the the bottomless pit, and go into perdition (go to destruction): and they that dwell on earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”
About the same time in history
The repetition of the words “bottomless pit” in Rev.17:8 is of twofold significance. Firstly, it seems to indicate connection to the year of the beginning of my time measure of the development of the “beast coming up out of the earth”, “six hundred, threescore and six” (Rev.13:11-18), namely 1266. The time of the last eruptions at Svertsengi, Iceland was in 1240.
Rise and destruction
Secondly, the rise and destruction of the beast is connected to the “bottomless pit.” “Shall ascend out of the bottomless pit and go into perdition”.
I showed in my book, ‘How near Armageddon’, how Revelation, Chapter 17 reveals the transition from the rule of Christian kings to the global rule of the vote of the majority of citizens in the nations (the symbol of the scale held by the rider on the black horse (Rev.6:5)).
God allowed transition
Revelation 17:17 reveals that God allowed this transition of rule over centuries, that will last until Scripture is ultimately fulfilled through the Return of the Christ (Rev.14:1).
Rev.17:17 “For God put it in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”
Liberty
Revelation seems to reveal that God also knew that the division of Church and state and man’s liberty would cause many to be misled by the forces of evil (beast) and ultimately have the “mark of the beast” (Rev.13:16 and17; 14:9-11; 15:2; 16:2; 19:20; 20:4). Revelation’s warning concerning “the mark of the beast” reveals that man’s freedom does not include being free to sin against God’s Law. The great power of evil, active in the “little season”, will finally be curbed by man’s awareness of the final signs of the end time (Rev.6:14-17).
The scroll rolled together
I believe we are at a point when the 'scroll' (The book Revelation) can almost be understood from the end to the beginning. How near are we to the scroll being rolled together (Rev. 6:14)?
