Yes, it is late in the day.
The drums of war
As I have shown on this Forum, it seems that we are in
the days before the sounding of the seventh trumpet
(Rev.10:7). The drums of war are beating fiercely in
central Europe, and I do believe we may soon witness
the treading of the winepress of the wrath of Almighty
God (Rev.14:20 and 19:15).
Guidance
At this point in time, I just marvel at the greatness
of the book, Revelation. How God created and preserved
this book to give us guidance in the “short season”
that Satan is let loose (Rev. 20:3). We can know that
“The Destroyer” (Rev. 9:11), that can be found in
lawless behaviour, corrupt governance, artificial
intelligence, and impossible fictional scientific
exploits will not ultimately pluck a righteous soul
from its all-powerful Creator. We await the Return.
Verification
Because I believe that I have understood the placement
of key words in Revelation, and these connect the
chapters in the last days. The verification of my time
measures will now be done by what happens in the time
to come.
Control
God has been in control of the universe since the
Beginning. The understanding of Revelation reveals
first and foremost that the Risen Christ has been in
control of the ruling of the nations (Rev.12:5).
Predetermined
I believe that Revelation reveals that even before John
was on Patmos, where he wrote down the visions that he
saw, the Trinity established the times of great
discoveries and accomplishments that would be made by
man in the time of the rise of “the beast coming up out
of the sea” (Rev. 13:1-10) and the “beast coming up out
of the earth” (Rev.13:11-18.)
Through mankind’s own ingenuity, the inhabitants of the
earth will suffer strong delusion
Lying wonders and the strong delusion
Through the repetition of the word “wonders”, Scripture
makes a direct connection between “the lying wonders”
in Thess.2:9 and the times of “the beast coming up out
of the earth” (Rev.13:13).
Wonders
Rev. 13:13 “And he doeth great wonders, so that he
maketh fire come down from heaven on earth in the sight
of men.”
Note the accuracy of Revelation.
In 1926 the first liquid-fuelled rocket was launched in
Massachusetts (“maketh fire come down from heaven on
earth”) and in the same year television was introduced
in the UK (“in the sight of men”).
(The year 1926 is part of the “six hundred, threescore
and six”’ (Rev. 13:18)).
2 Thess. 2:9-11.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in
them that perish; because they received not the love of
the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie:”.
Strong delusion
It seems that Paul predicts in his Second letter to the
Thessalonians, what is later to be given to John on
Patmos, to write down in the book Revelation, that
through “the beast” (a guise of Satan) and mankind’s
own ingenuity, many would ultimately be misled.
Rev.13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of
the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he
spoke as a dragon”.
Harmless inventiveness (“lamb”) would ultimately
develop to have destructive proportions globally. These
would in conjunction with the greater influence
(“spoke”) of Satan (“dragon”) become the downfall of
many.
Therefore, the Rider on the white horse (Rev.19:11),
who is Faithful and True returns to make war
(Rev.19:15).
