A strange coincidence.
It is a strange coincidence that on 5 June 2014 I was verbally attacked on this website for saying that the symbolic “queen of the south” in Mat.12:42 refers to the woman in the end time who would be given the insight into the loosening of the seals of the Scroll. Also on 5 June 2014 the fighting began in the city of Mosul (the area of the old city of Nineveh in the Old Testament).
I say this because these things seem to relate to the words of Matthew 12:39-42. (KJV)
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
The following is taken from the The Catholic World Report, 12 June 2014, “All the Christians have fled Mosul”
“ After the capture of the northern-Iraqi metropolis Mosul by Islamist forces, all the Christians who were still living there have now fled. The Catholic Archbishop of the city, Amil Shamaaoun Nona, corroborated this while speaking with the worldwide Catholic relief service Aid to the Church in Need. “All the faithful have left the city. Who knows whether they will ever be able to return,” Abp. Nona said. “In 2003 there were still 35,000 faithful living in Mosul. Three thousand were still there in early 2014. Now probably not one is left here, and that is tragic,” the Archbishop declared. The city of Mosul, with a population of three million, was already mentioned in the Bible as Nineveh, and for thousands of years it has been a place of Christian civilization.
Archbishop Nona reported on the capture of Mosul: “We have never experienced anything like it before. A major city like Mosul has fallen victim to chaos.” The fighting, he said, began on Thursday, June 5; at first, however, it was limited to several districts in the western part of the city. “The army began to bombard the areas that were affected, but then the armed forces and the police suddenly left Mosul during the night between Monday and Tuesday, leaving the city at the mercy of the aggressors.” More than half of the inhabitants and the entire Christian community immediately fled to the nearby Nineveh Plain. “At around 5:00 on Tuesday morning we took in the families of refugees and tried to lodge them in schools, catechism classrooms and abandoned houses,”
The sign of Jonah
Those who have read my books and studied this website will know that the words “40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” relate to the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also to the time of “three days” in the second millennium after the coming of the Christ when the Christians were being misled by the influence of the “dragon” and the “beast” out of the “earth”.
Jesus Christ brought the history of Jonah into relation with his Death and Resurrection and also in relation to the time measures of Revelation.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
In Mat 12:41 Jesus brings the time of judgment directly in relation to the “men of Nineveh who in history repented when they heard Jonas preach”
“With this generation”
In my books and on this website I indicated that the time of a “day” in Revelation is approx 288 years. The time of a “generation” is approx 72 years. If one places the 14 generations of the first millennium (“three and a half days”) in the length of a square and the 14 generations of the breadth of the square, then when one joins the length and the breadth (to form a square) one finds that the generation of Christ joins up with the final generation of the second millennium. I therefore believe that the understanding of Revelation gives insight into the understanding of the words:”with this generation”.
Why did I use the square? I used the square because the measurements of the New Jerusalem in Rev 21:16 are given as a square.
New Jerusalem
“ And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.”
In this way Revelation indicates symbolically that the generations of Christians who lived on earth are finally the inhabitants of the New Jerusalem.
This is how the generation of Christ can be linked to the final generation - how the time of the generation of Jesus Christ connects with the present time

The “woman”
The “woman” (Rev 12:1 “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.”) collectively includes the entire Christian Church through the ages; which also includes Mary the mother of Jesus and indicates the person who would in the end time be given the insight into the loosening of the seals of the Scroll.
The reason for all these inclusions is the way Revelation indicates the time span of Revelation, chapter 12. - the beginning and the end of the time period from the birth of Christ to the time of the end and the Return. The “sun” is the symbol that represents the coming of the Christ (Malachi 4:2 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings”) therefore the rise of the Christian faith and the Christian Church through the approx. past two thousand years.
It seems at this point in time that the message of Mat 12:39-42 is that what happened to the generation of Christians in 2014 in Mosul reflects that despite the world rule of equalization before the law for all religions there still is no law to protect them. A woman in the end time shall through the understanding of Revelation condemn the final generation through what is revealed in Revelation, namely, that the nations were misled by the “dragon” and the “beasts” of Revelation. The nations thought that democracy would put an end to religious strife, but it has not.
